Introduction
The fee collection feature of our Investment API allows you to easily configure, manage and collect the revenue charged to the end user for the services you provide.
This guide will walk you through the implementation steps required to integrate and configure the fees of your choice.
Fee types
The fees you want to charge your end users depend strongly on the specifics of your business model. Upvest supports the following types of fees:
- Service fees / administration fees
- Transaction fees.
It is important that you have first analysed the different types of fees you want to charge your end users and selected the model that suits you best before deciding on your preferred implementation method.
The Upvest team can help you find the most suitable fee structure for your business model.
Supported implementation methods
Upvest supports two implementation methods to cover the transactions or service fees:
Fee type/ Possible implementation method | Calculation & intake on Upvest side (AUM-based) | Calculation on client side, intake on Upvest side |
---|---|---|
Service fee | The fee is calculated in the form of an AUM-based (Assets Under Management) fee and charged by Upvest. | Upvest collects the fee amount requested by the client via the API. |
Transaction fee | Transaction lump sum fee; fee is calculated in the form of an AUM-based fee and charged by Upvest. | Upvest collects the fee amount requested by the client via the API. |
